Why hire a professional face painter?
When you hire Faces Alive, you're hiring an artist who has 20 years of experience working with children, honing their skills, researching proper technique and supplying professional cosmetic-grade supplies. Faces Alive artists are speedy and have the ability to paint in larger crowds quickly without becoming overwhelmed.
You will be communicated with professionally, and you can be assured that your artist will show up and be ready to paint on time for your event. Your guests will be greeted with a happy smile, a tidy appearance and 5 star treatment. All of these factors make the cost well worth it for corporations and private parties alike.
What paints do you use?
I use a variety of cosmetic face paints (Paradise, DFX, TAG, Snazaroo) which are all FDA compliant and very easy to remove with a baby wipe or mild soap and water. I also use cosmetic glitter that is safe to apply near the eyes.
How far will you travel?
I service Shreveport, Marshall, Longview and surrounding areas. I am willing to travel further for an additional travel fee, or for multiple hour jobs, so be sure to ask!

I'll also need to know whether I will be located indoors or outside, and if shelter is available. (I'm not able to paint outdoors in July and August unfortunately, due to the extreme temperatures.)
Do you require a deposit?
I do require a deposit, which is $50 for a standard party. This assures that I will hold that date and time for your event. Unless a prior agreement has been made, your booking will NOT be final until your deposit is received, so please get it in as soon as possible. I take deposits via credit card, Paypal, Venmo, or you can mail a check. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancelation. Thank you for understanding!
What forms of payment do you accept?
You may pay via check, cash, Venmo or credit card (3.5% fee for credit cards). Payment is due by the day of the event, and advance payment is always welcome since I know everyone is pretty busy on party day. Late payments may be subject to additional fees.
How far in advance should I book?
It's never too early to book! You should book your event with me as soon as you know the time and date. Saturdays fill up fast especially in the Spring and Fall, so don't wait too long! I am often available on Fridays and Sunday afternoons, so if your party date is flexible and I am booked on the Saturday you are interested in, ask about alternatives. I'll try my best to work with you so that we can make it happen.
What can I expect on the day of my event?
I will check in with you a day or two before your event just to confirm all details. On event day, I will arrive about 15 minutes early so that I can get set up and ready to paint by start time. I will have my own cart and director's chair, so no tables or chairs will be needed. I will need shelter, such as a porch or canopy, or even a shady tree if the weather is nice. I will paint every child once before starting second paintings, just to make sure everyone gets a paint. I'm happy to paint 3rd or 4th designs on the kids if we have spare time. I'm happy to take custom requests as long as there isn't a line of children waiting. Please have your payment ready by the end of the event, as I will often be scooting directly to another event after yours, and will need to leave in a timely manner. I can't wait to paint for you!
