Why hire a professional face painter?

It's true that you will pay more for a skilled professional face painter, but I think you'll find that it's worth the investment.  I am able to paint much more quickly than a hobby or volunteer painter.  I spend hours practicing my skills so that I can provide super fast, high quality designs.  I  use top-quality FDA compliant theater make-up and glitter, which is important.  You don't want stains on your carpet, rashes on your guests' skin, or cracking, stiff acrylic paint being applied at your party.  Beware of non-cosmetic glitter as well, which can cut and seriously damage the eyes.  Last but not  least, my quality of work is top-notch and my experience relating to children is priceless!

What paints do you use?

I use a variety of cosmetic face paints (Paradise, DFX, TAG, Snazaroo) which are all FDA compliant and very easy to remove with mild soap and water.  I also use very fine cosmetic glitter that is safe to apply near the eyes.

How far will you travel?

I service Shreveport, Marshall, Longview and surrounding areas.  Ordinarily I will travel up to 30 miles from my home (Marshall, TX) for a one-hour party.   I am willing to travel further for an additional travel fee, or for multiple hour jobs, so be sure to call and ask!

How do I book you?  What will you ask me?

You can call me at 903-472-1605, or email me at Angie@facesalive.com .  I will ask you how many guests you are expecting, the general age of your guests, and if you have a particular theme for your event.  I'll want to know if your event will be inside or outside, as well as the location, date and time.

Do you require a deposit?

I do require a deposit, which is normally $50 for a standard party.  This deposit assures that I will hold that date and time for your event.  Unless a prior agreement has been made, your booking will NOT be final until your deposit is received, so please get it in as soon as possible - thanks!

There are three ways you may pay your deposit: 
By mail:  Contact me for an address.
By Paypal:  Email me at angie@facesalive.com for a money request.
By credit card: 903-472-1605.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept personal checks, money orders, cash, debit and credit cards,
as well as Paypal payments.  Paypal payments must be paid in advance.

How far in advance should I book?

It's never too early to book!  You should book your event with me as soon as you know the time and date.  Saturdays fill up fast especially in the Spring and Fall, so don't wait too long!  I am often available on Fridays and Sunday afternoons, so if your party date is flexible and I am booked on the Saturday you are interested in, ask about alternatives.  I'll try my best to work with you so that we can make it happen. 

Would you consider donating your services for my charitable event?

This is really a hard one...  It's something I am frequently asked, and while I absolutely love contributing toward worthy causes, I must limit the amount of time I donate to charities.   I choose several charities each year that are close to my heart, and I am not able to accept additional donated jobs at this time.  However, I am willing to work for a reduced rate considering the organization and my schedule.  Thanks for understanding!

Hahaa...  I get that a lot!  Seriously though... the truth is that after taking out the cost of quality supplies, fuel, insurance, commute time and prep time, advertising costs and materials, website fees, training, and all of the other astonishing costs of running a business, there is not a whole lot left!  I will say that it is a huge blessing to be able to earn an income doing what I love.  And that's why I do it - because I love it.  :)
